How to use CleanLink Pro effectively

Basic Usage

Copying URLs

  1. Copy any URL using Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on Mac)
  2. CleanLink Pro automatically detects and cleans the URL
  3. The cleaned link is saved to your history

That's it! The extension works silently in the background.

Viewing Your Links

  1. Open the popup by clicking the extension icon or pressing Alt+C
  2. View your cleaned links with titles and timestamps
  3. Search through your history by typing in the search box

Taking Action

From the popup, you can:

  • Open - Open selected links in new tabs
  • Copy Markdown - Copy as - [Title](URL) format
  • Delete - Remove links from history
  • Select All - Quickly select all visible links

Accessing Settings

  1. Click the gear icon in the popup
  2. Or go to chrome://extensions/ → CleanLink Pro → DetailsExtension options

Customizing What Gets Removed

Toggle parameter groups on/off:

Other Settings

  • History Limit - Set maximum stored links (default: 20)
  • Enable Sync - Sync settings across devices via Chrome account

Note: Generic tracking parameters (si, ref, mc_cid, mc_eid, pk_*) are always removed.
