Local Link History

• What we store: The extension saves a history of the links you have copied and cleaned.
• Where it is stored: This data is stored strictly locally on your device using Chrome's storage.local API.
• Access: Only you have access to this data via the extension popup. We cannot see, read, or process this data.
• Deletion: You can manually delete individual links or clear your history at any time.

Settings and Preferences

• What we store: Your configuration preferences (e.g., cleaning rules, theme settings).
• Sync: If you enable "Sync settings," these preferences are saved to your Chrome account via storage.sync. This data is managed by Google and is not accessible to us.

Permissions Usage

We request the minimum permissions necessary for the extension to function:

• clipboardRead & clipboardWrite: Required to automatically detect copied URLs, remove tracking parameters, and allow you to copy the cleaned versions.
• offscreen: Used to monitor the clipboard in the background without requiring an open browser tab.
• storage: Used to save your link history and settings locally.
• activeTab / scripting: Used only to fetch the title of the page you are visiting when you copy a link.

Third-Party Services

CleanLink Pro does not use any third-party analytics (like Google Analytics, Mixpanel) or advertising networks. We do not track your browsing behavior.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the extension or the Chrome Web Store listing.
